I don't think it's worse at all, I think it's best. And I've recently been reading some wonderful self-published works and cannot believe the quality of it. Most of it from writers who have decided against the commercial route.

I did research both to some degree.
My biggest concern with self publishing is I wouldn't trust myself enough to edit for silly mistakes and repeats, etc. I really feel like I would need someone to go over my writing, you know?
On another hand, I have a different concern with publishing with an editor and an agent; they do say that editors and even agents ask for extensive edits of your original work. I do want to at least try it though, I guess I lack confidence in my own work, and need someone who is "in the business" to tell me it's good compared to others.

Oh, and I almost forgot about marketing. I can't imagine doing that part on my own, you know?
Do you plan to market it to stores by the way? If you do, what is your plan?
And on the side note... I can't wait to read your book, remember me when you order more!
