I voted "other."

I vacuum when I notice it needs to be done. Half of our house is not carpeted. The half that is carpeted is mostly in rooms that are out of my jurisdiction or not of my concern.

I probably vacuum the common living area once a week....mostly laminate wood flooring and one area rug in the front room. Yeah, we have pets. I sweep more than I vacuum. Our house is three stories and I hate lugging the vacuum up and down the stairs.

we just got rid of the carpet in the bedrooms we put down laminate in the kitchen, livingroom, halls, & laundry area 2 years ago..but dh wanted to replace the carpet in the bedrooms with new carpet.. we never did it because i disagreed & wanted all laminate.
finally he gave in

now we only have 2 rugs in the livingroom & a small ones in each kids room
*I* dont vacuum. thats one of my kids chores. they do it once a week.we replaced the old vacumn with a very lightweight one that even my 4 year old can easily use.

I sweep every day though

At least once per day.

I have a dog who doesn't shed much.

I feel the need to vacuum the hardwoods and tile even more than the carpet because you can see every hair and speck (one of my biggest pet peeves is pet hair piled up along baseboards or along the sides of stairs).

I also have thick carpet in the family room and I like to vacuum that often since I don't know how dirty it is (you just can't tell).

The top floor doesn't get vacuumed as much because it's only all of the bedrooms and isn't used as much (plus, no food is allowed up there). Maybe 2/week.

We are also a shoe-free house.

Pretty much every day, sometimes more than once a day. Between the dog tracking stuff in from the yard and my allergies its a necessity.

I usually only vacuume once, maybe twice in a week (like if we have company over or something, I'll try and make sure I've vacuumed recently). We have one dog who lives outside mostly but does come in at night (though hes mostly confined to the laundry/mud room). And we have a cat who's currently kicked out for the summer (she started spraying, as usual), but who is inside all winter. We have all hardwood floors with a couple big rugs in the two main rooms.

The upstairs though (me, DH & DS' bedrooms, minimally used), only gets vacuumed maybe once a month? We just aren't up there much and its a PITA to lug the vacuume up the stairs. Oh and we're a basicly shoe-free house. Shoes stay in the laundry/mud room... unless your just dropping eggs off in the kitchen, then you peak around the corner

I vaccum a few times a week. We have wall to wall carpet except in the kitchen. Two shorthair cats. Their hair doesn't show up much on the carpet, but boy, does it show up in the canister!

everynight at 2 am. My roomba is on a timer!

Mix of carpet, tile, and hardwood. Two dogs. Vacuum once a week.

I love to vacuum. It's the getting stuff out of the way so that I CAN vacuum that I don't like.

I'm looking into buying a house that will need an HVAC system put in. If I go that route, I'm also putting in central vacuum.

Once a week. I hate vacuuming and we don't wear shoes in the house so it doesn't get too bad.

Once every week or two. We have no pets and only eat in the kitchen (so no crumbs on the carpet).

I vacuum twice a week typically, sometimes 3 times a week. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 kids. All hardwood floors. I swiffer maybe once a week, and mop maybe once or twice a month.

Once every two weeks or so, whenever the mess gets intolerable . I live with my DP in a very small apartment that has linoleum (smooth, not textured) floors and a few small throw rugs. And we both have a high tolerance for crumbs on the floor

DH vacuums and he does it about twice a week.

I vacuum almost daily, sometimes I'll go 2 days, but in total I'd say I vacuum 5 days a week. We have carpet in part of the house, allergies, and a black dog.

we love our central vac

I forgot to mention that I live in the Land of Sand so I think that adds to the need to vacuum the tile daily.

I voted every other day, but it is more like 5 to 6 times a week. We have "renters carpet" the thin carpet that dirt sort of just sits on top of. And three indoor only cats. We do not wear shoes in the house but the one cat sheds like crazy.

What is a central vac?

i vacuum twice per day on most days, sometimes 3 times. we have a tiny house and i *hate* stepping on stuff. no matter what i do, it always seems that crumbs, feathers etc.,. are on the floor. argh, it drives me INSANE!

I vaccum probably two to three times a week. We don't have any carpet in our house except for two area rugs - one in the living room and one in DS's room. So it's mainly to do those rugs and to pick up the dog hair around the house - we have two dogs; one that sheds quite a bit.

everyday and sometimes twice (depending on the room). We have hardwoods.
