How long can I wait to wash diapers?

We just stared cloth diapers today and we only have 12 right now, so far I have only used two today and will probably use 1-3 more.

How many days can pass before I will need to wash them so they don't stain?

I generally wash every other day, but sometimes if I haven't had time maybe upwards of three or four days. The only thing I found to be a problem was when I first started I was rinsing them with water and if they sat in the bucket for too long they would mildew. I just quit rinsing and that solved that problem.

I usually wash every 2-3 days. I get some stains, but I don't worry about it too much - diapers are made to get pooped on, after all. Sun helps.

I know there are people who wash even less often than that - some only once per week. I've heard them people sing the praises of diaper sprayers for getting the poo off. We often use flushable or fleece diaper liners and haven't really needed to try a sprayer.

oh, and its breastfeed poop so its very watery right now. But my diapers are brand new so I don't want to ruin them!

We wash every three days or so. Sometimes four. We do use a diaper sprayer, but didn't with pre-solids poo.

I'm not too worried about stains, but haven't really noticed any.

I think if you're wanting to avoid stains then every other day would be long enough... I've noticed if I stick with that often I rarely have any staining. If I wait 3-4 or more days I will almost always end up with at least one or two stains that don't come out. And congrats on your first day of cloth :
