New to Babywearing... trying to decide.. Help!

I just had my third baby and am just now looking into babywearing. My ds is 3 weeks old and weighs over 9lbs. I'm looking at either a maya wrap, a moby or a mei tei ( that's a lot of m's ) Anyway, any feedback would help. I like the moby wrap but I'm not sure how breastfeeding would work with it and I like the mei tei, but again am wondering about about breastfeeding. TIA!

you can breastfeed very easily in the moby as well as the mt.
major difference, imo, is that the moby will start to feel lacking in support once your baby gets closer to the 1 year mark.
the mt is a more versatile option.

Thank you for your response. I was leaning toward the mei tei a little bit more, mostly because we're pretty active outdoors and I like the back carrying option when he gets bigger. Thanks again!

Congratulations!

You can nurse in either of the carriers you mentioned. Of the three, I'd go for a mei tai now, as your little one is getting bigger and it will take you longer than the stretchy wrap. If you are able to get a second, then go for the ring sling. Also, looking into a good woven wrap, since it will also take you from now through toddlerhood.

If you are only going to get one, I'd get a mei tai. If you can swing two, I'd get a Moby now and a mei tai later. I feel like the littler babies feel more secure in the Moby. And I found it comfortable until about 20 lbs, and then it would start sagging. I never figured out breastfeeding well in the Moby, but it was a breeze in the mei tai once my LO had good head control.

Thank you all for your replies and advice. I'm still wavering, lol. I really like the mei tai, but I also like the moby so I may just have to do as pp suggested and buy the moby now and mei tai in a little bit.

I don't think there is anything YUMMIER than wrapping a new baby in a stretchy wrap like the Moby!!! DELICIOUS!!!!
But a MT will be very handy later... you could definitely resell the Moby to upgrade to a MT
