Sion's Homebirth - c-section transfer
I'm still a little too emotional to write everything out, but my birth photographer posted her blog pictures of my birth at this link:

http://sarahtew.wordpress.com/2009/03/27/birthing-sion/

the details are slightly off-- the last 15 hours I was swollen at 7cms with my body bearing him down uncontrollably. The "checking dilation" picture is the 4th attempt at trying to push his head past my cervix. It was really, really traumatic.

Also not included-- after we left for the hospital, my La Bassine sprung a leak and ruined the apartment underneath us. We now owe tens of thousands of dollars in repairs.

But he's beautiful.

Oh what amazing pictures - you look radiant in the last one!!! Enjoy your baby, and just chalk the money for damages up to the first of many major investments you'll make in this LO's life!! That being said, that really sucks!!!! But, it will always be a story to be told!

I am so sorry about the leak though. Talk about adding insult to injury! I couldn't imagine coming home to that.

Thank you He's such a doll. I'm still grieving over the c-section and the missed moments in those first 10 minutes of his life. And still healing from the trauma of the last 15 hours at home. But I would do it again 10 times over to have him in my life!

ETA: Forgot to answer, he's 9 lbs 4 oz and 21.5 inches. Big healthy guy! Nurses like crazy, doesn't fit newborn clothes already.

Congrats, he's gorgeous!

Mine was born at 9lbs14oz after 44 hours of labor, via c-section. His clothes didn't fit, either! The lady in the recovery room next door had a 10lb6oz'er. Goodness, it was "big baby day."

Hey, you only missed the 1st 10 minutes?? I missed a few hours (with some visits during waking periods). They gave me so much anasthesia that I was numb on the bottom, shaky on the top and sleeping intermittently for a long time.

But the great news is that we have our little miracles, no matter how they came out
