Well, I did it! I faced my biggest fear in life- childbirth!
:
And, not only did I survive- I can say it was a good day.
Pushing was awful hard, but you really do forget the pain.
I was only in real, regular/painful labor for two hours (including pushing!). I arrived at the birth center at 2, had him at 4, and was out the door at 9 or so!
Baby Ian was 8 lbs 2 oz, 20.5 inches! He's perfect. He had a great latch right away and I am loving breast feeding him.
I did labor in the tub for a hour, then had him on my side, all natural. No needles, she never once checked my cervix, and it was just... amazing!
His dad was the BEST support I could ever want or ask for, and I couldn't be more proud or more in love with both my husband and my new baby!
So- here's proof the worst medical phobic most care givers have ever seen- can do this!
