Ideal Newborn Stash?

I have a newborn stash from DS... KL 0s and bummis super snap covers (I think that is what they are called...) Anyway, I think I have about 30 KL 0s and 4 NB covers and 4 small. It worked find for DS but he was also my only baby and we were living with my parents while DH was away doing military training so I had a lot of help. This time we are across the country from any family and will have 2 babies under 15 months... so I am thinking I probably need to get some more NB diapers just in case I get behind on laundry and stuff? How many covers should I have? Fitteds? Anything else?

I just checked for sure.. I have 27 KL 0s, 3 BG AIOs size small, 5 NB sized covers and 4 small sized covers. I also have some doublers... I am guessing I need a couple more NB covers and a couple more small covers? And a few more diapers?

In my opinion, 6 covers is nice in those early months, maybe more in nb, if you think you might not wash that often. 30ish diapers will probably last about 2 1/2 days, so a few more might be nice to last a little longer. That sounds great for the average stash, though, honestly.

The extras would be nice for convenience, but you might be just fine with what you have...

You'll be busy, but you can do it, Mama!

I usually wash every other day, especially since I will have 2 in diapers I am sure I will have to wash every other day! I have 5-6 days worth of diapers for DS so I have enough just in case... so I think I want to get enough for maybe 4 days for a newborn? Maybe some prefolds, fitteds, contours... no idea. I want to get some fleece covers too I think, though I have no idea what covers I want!!!

I like this for my newborn stash: 18 fitteds, a handful of pockets/aios (like 6 maybe), and 12-24 prefolds. As well as 7-10 covers. Imo, you can never have enough covers for the newborn phase!

I think I will get 12 PFs (or maybe contours since DH is scared to death of PFs for some reason...) and some more covers. I think I will get infant PFs and small sized covers though. DS outgrew the NB sized covers in a couple weeks so I really don't want to spend money on something that will be outgrown so quickly. Would that work? I meann, the infant PFs will be bulkier then the NB ones I'm sure but they will still work right?

I've never used the "newborn" (really, they're called "preemie") sized prefolds. I always used the infant ones and they fit my average-to-largeish sized babies (7lb 11oz and 8lb 10oz) just fine.
