I am a TF newbie, and just moved from Las Vegas to Virginia. I am requesting information about the local chapter here to learn more about what resources there are in this area.

I was just wondering how many mamas here are activly involved in a local chapter of the Weston A Price Foundation and what value you receive from it.

I am - just getting started. I've been to 2 monthly meetings so far. The chapter is just getting on it's feet again after being inactive for a while, so we're still in the planning stages, but I have met some great people and am learning a TON from them.

What part of Virginia did you move to? Virginia has various chapters, and I am a Chapter leader in Northern VA amongst a handful of others. We have a very active chapter, and my co-chapter leader and I and assistant organizers hold between 1 to 4 events a month. We've had events like pot lucks, documentary viewings, and presentations by various speakers ranging from Naturopathic doctors and holistic nutritionists to authors to farmers.

I'm not super active in my local chapter cause my kids are hard to take to meetings but I love those guys and I see them as often as I can!

They put out and email with healthy food sources and I've used that to find my raw milk.

I am now in Woodbridge. Where are you?!

I just emailed the leaders listed for the Manassas/Prince William County chapter. They were very friendly and helpful, but apparently they haven't held any meetings in quite a while.

I am in Reston. Our chapter utilizes Meetup.com for community outreach and also to manage our event invitations and general group notices. If you would like to join, we have a meetup group at:
http://www.meetup.com/WholeNutrition/

We vary widely in terms of where we hold the events. About half our events are in or close to Reston, since my co-chapter leader and I both live in Reston, but we branch out quite far and have had events in Fairfax, DC, and in Lovettsville. You can look at the group calendar to see the types of events we've had in the past.
