Ok I know alot of us are on a budget, but I also know that I am going to spend some cash on getting a few repeat outfits! I was on the Thyme Maternity website this morning and they have the cutest stuff for summer! I'm wondering when I will start showing though because with DS, I didn't show till 22 weeks. So that would bring me into July..mind you I hear most women blow up huge after the 1st - is that true??? ::

I was kinda wondering when I would start showing too because I still need to find a wedding dress. My MIL and I are going out tomorrow to look for dresses. I know exactly what I want but who knows whos got it. I hope I'm not showing too much. I believe I concieved March 15th give or take a couple days and I'm getting married on August 1st.

I am really looking forward to shopping for this next 9 months. I think for the most part I will fit into alot of my clothes til the end. I'm totally with you on the summer clothes, I can't wait to get into some warm weather. My DP is so excited about having a baby he went and got some onesies the other day it was so cute lol. I'm trying so hard to resist the urge to go to a baby consignment store 2 blocks away........

well after my last pregnancy I got rid of ALL my maternity clothes because I was having NO MORE KIDS. Someone should tell that to the bun in my oven right now. Anyway I'm glad about the tops because I think that if I had to wear one of those same old tops again I'd vomit. Anyway I am sad about the jeans. Anyway I think I'm doing alot of maxi dresses this go round. I usually pop out like popcorn and was wearing maternity clothes by 14 weeks with my first pregnancy and 9 weeks with my second. I'm thin though and it does have something do with that too I guess. I hope I don't show for a while and can still stay in my clothes I just freaking bought two weeks ago!

I lost some weight last year, so I boxed up my "big" clothes and kept them because I knew we wanted to start a family soon, including a bunch of those shirts that have been in style the last few years that make you look like you're pregnant anyway (you know the ones). I'm hoping to be able to make it for quite awhile before buying any maternity clothes, so we'll see.

Women often start showing earlier because the muscles are more stretched out from the first pregnancy. I didn't find that I was any bigger, just that my belly "popped out" sooner.

When did you "pop out" with #2 I popped with Ds at the end of my first trimester but I was way thinner then. does that make a difference I have been wondering that!

I don't remember exactly -- seems like a long time ago now. Maybe partway through the first tri? Pants started feeling uncomfortable not long after I found out.

With my first, I wasn't in maternity pants until 20 or 22 weeks. With ds2 I had to buy a pair of maternity jeans while I was on vacation ( I hadn't planned on needing any until I got home) at 15 weeks. Of course, I started out 10 lbs heaver, too.

There are so many cute loose fitting dresses drifting around out there that I'm tempted to just become a dress mama . . . of course it is usually around -40 here in Dec, so I will eventually have to buy some pants. But I have seriously been nursing almost non-stop for the last 4 1/2 years, so the idea of actually being able to wear a dress is a novelty. I am drooling over a couple of shops on etsy that make cute stuff, and especially covetting these two dresses:

I think I could probably make the first one pretty easily myself, though.

Well I love window shopping online, so here is the link for a local maternity shop!

I wasn't in maternity clothes with my first until about 20 weeks, and about 16 weeks with my second. But with my third we were sure it was twins because I could feel my uterus and had to be in full time maternity pants by 12 weeks! My last midwife said that is normal with baby #3,4,5+ so I am guessing that will happen this time too. I'm not even 5 weeks and I feel really bloated in my low abdomen. I can't see being able to wear my normal jeans more than a month max.

This will be my last baby so I hate to invest a bunch of money into maternity clothes, but I got rid of most my stuff after baby #3 and this baby is due in a totally different season. Guess I get to go shopping, huh?

Invest in some Bella Bands so you can stay in your normal pants for as long as possible and save some $. I always end up having to buy 2 different sizes of maternity pants as I grow. The Bella Bands allow me to buy the bigger pants to begin with when I do make the switch from normal to maternity because they help keep the pants from falling down. I hate how mat pants - even ones that are the right size - often fall down. Is it just me? Bella Bands saved me from that though.
