Glans (not glands)

Thread Starter
I've noticed a couple posts recently where people are mistakenly referring to the head of the penis as "the glands" (plural).

The word for the head of the penis is "glans," which is singular and has no "d". The term comes from the Latin word for "acorn", which describes the shape of the head of the penis.

A "gland" is a structure that excretes hormones into the blood stream (like the adrenal glands), or various substances out of specialized pores on the surface of the body (like sweat glands).

Just FYI.
