Really? A naturally good idea?

"The flu shot would help control all the sickness," she said.
If they only knew that it's only about 30% effective on a good year and does not prevent ALL the sickness.

ITA. This is really ridiculous. I have never gotten a flu shot neither has DH and we refuse to let DD get one. It makes me sick that the state of Fl feels they know what's best for all Pre-K kids. It's all a bunch of bull you know what. First the flu shot and then what? All vaccines are mandatory? PUHHleeze.

Apparently not when it comes to vaccines. I am grossly bothered by this. I do vaccinate DD selectively but I don't want anyone telling me she has to have a flu shot or any other shot for that matter. What's next? Mandatory red meat for all pre schoolers so they can get enough iron?

And mandatory cups of milk for calcium, and preventative antibiotics, "just in case."

This sort of thing is the reason I strongly believe that non-vaxers and selective/delayed vaxers need to make common cause. The government will not be kind to those who want to be in control of their children's vaccines. As far as they are concerned, anyone who doesn't do the entire schedule, on schedule, is criminal scum.
