Someone needs to tell her that not all Americans circ. And it's perfectly acceptable for parents not to circ.

I sent her an email debunking her assertions. I also mentioned that circ has killed babies or left some with a lifetime of disgurement and destroyed penis but I have never heard of anyone dying from not having a circumcision. As for the STD thing I stated I would much rather use a condom and practice safe sex rather than subject myself to self mutilation. Of course I had this done to at birth while premature I assume(1963) but if I had not had it done I would not be falling for this horsecrap which is so much so it could fertilize many acres.

I have noted it seems to be that doctors like her who advocate circumcision are the ones who actually do them. She's an OB. It's big business for them.

Ok, it says that circ can help Prevent HIV infection......um, how so? There is no scientific evidence to prove that!

Also, look what this person has to say...
"Circumcision ranks with immunizations as the most basic expectations of a responsible parent."

Wow, what a world we live in! Everybody is entitled to have an opinion, but in MY opinion, I do not want to circumcise my little baby! How do people know for sure that it does not traumatize the baby? Maybe it doesn't, but maybe it does. With my first son, I did not have him circumcised. The main reason was that I didn't want anybody to cut and harm my perfect little angel! He can make the decision for himself when he is older, right?!

Is it me or is she the female OB that was interviewed in that part of Penn & Teller's Bullshit Circumcision episode?
She just looks so familiar.
\awful article.

We can host discussion of the blog, but we are not going to host discussion about the blog comments or disparaging of anyone, regardless whether or not we agree with their opinions. Thanks!

Look on the bright side - the majority of comments on the article were guys NOT in favor of circumcising, so that's a GOOD THING!

But what a stupid, stupid article. I enjoyed the comment about "Let's just circumcise EVERYBODY then, to reduce chance of infection by 100%!"

: Why do people buy this bs?
