Relocating to Mesa AZ -- need a good pediatrician

We are moving to Arizona in a couple weeks and we are going to need a new pediatrician. I don't have a problem standing up for myself when it comes to certain things, but I'd prefer to have a doctor who understands/agrees with my decisions. I'd say I'm mainstream with granola tendencies.

Particularly I'd like a pediatrician who is okay with not vaccinating. My daughter has an auto-immune disease so I recently went from delayed/selective vaxxing to non-vaxxing and I don't want hassle from our doctor.

We'll be moving to Mesa but I'd be happy to travel anywhere in the East Valley. I could go to Phx or Scottsdale if desperate though. We are also going to apply for Arizona Access until DH can find a job, so if you know if they accept Access that would be helpful.

Okay, I did find a couple old threads with suggestions for docs. I'll start there.

I ADORE Dr. Piacantine at Mesa Pediatrics. I don't really care for any of the other doctors there but, he's great. He's never questioned me about vaxing. He really seems to appreciate the fact that I don't come in expecting antibiotics prescrptions and is great with taking the wait and see, conservative approach.

The only thing I'm not crazy about is that he does talk about parenting - like at our last visit, he talked to me in front of the kids about setting up a reward system for behavior. We don't use or need a reward system - he just sort of tossed that out there. He's done this before with other parenting issues but, not in an overbearing way - more in a parenting helpful hints way. So, you can take that advice or leave it.

But, other than the parenting advice, I really like him and find him very easy to work with.
