Feeling Frenetic - labor starting soon?

My due date is tomorrow. I've been feeling pretty good so far and while I'd like the baby out soon, I haven't felt as anxious to give birth as I did w/ DD. (With whom I was induced 9 days "late" and ended up w/ a c-section.)

All day I've been feeling really crabby. Everyone at DD's nursery school is so nice, but I just wanted them all to shut up and stop asking how I was doing this morning! I totally lost it w/ DD this afternoon; I ended up calling DH and asking him to come home early b/c I just couldn't deal. Right now I'm locked up in our office while he plays w/ DD upstairs and I never want to come out. I'm also feeling a crazy spurt of energy, like I want to go out for a 3-mile run or something. (Don't worry, I'm feeling crazy but I'm not stupid!)

I used to get really jittery and crabby like this when I was exercising a lot and then didn't for a few days, like I HAD to get some exercise or I'd explode. Could all this mean that I'm going into labor soon or am I just loosing my mind?

Thanks for any information or encouraging words you can offer.

I'd say it's a real possibility--especially given your proximity to your 'due date.'

I was an emotional wreck the day before I went into labor. In fact, I had a really long cry the afternoon before labor started, and I think it helped release a lot of tension and kick things into gear.

Do something to relax and treat yourself. . . a warm bath, movie, walk, calling a good friend to vent. Do what you feel like doing because it might be a while before you have as much freedom as you do now!

Best wishes! Looking forward to reading your birth story!!

If at all possible, try to listen to your body and do something relaxing and enjoyable. See if you can get some rest. If this is it then you'll need your sleep now. If not, sleep is always good

Thank you both for your replies. No labor yet, though I'm feeling less crabby today. Hopefully it'll be soon, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

No advice really, just wanted to say, hang in there! Soon you'll be holding your baby and sharing your birth story. Honestly I think we are bound to feel crabby at points during pregnancy. I think I've had more crabby patches than not

Good luck Mama!
