I've been on bedrest for preterm labor since week 25, hospitalized from 32-36 weeks, sent home last monday at exactly 36 weeks, stopped all drugs, and went into labor around noon last thursday at 36 weeks, 3 days. From start to finish labor lasted about 8.5 hours -- not bad for a first baby (my cervix obviously had a head start).
Despite being early, he weighed in at a hefty 6 lbs 9 oz and had no NICU or special care nursery time! Roomed in with me the whole time, and we were discharged after 48 hours.
My hospital experience was great, and of course I couldn't ask for a better baby. I'm in love!
