Having Dr. Greene's daughter, Rachel, be interested in emergency medicine was a nice touch and brought things to a closure with his story arc.

It was good to see Dr. Benton again. He's put on a few pounds since he left the show. I miss him. He was such an interesting complex character.

The preshow was just as interesting as the final show.

BTW, I thought Sherry Stringfield looked good. What did you think was bad??
Me too. I thought she looked fine.

I haven't watched ER regularly in years. I used to watch every week. Then it became too dramatic, something blowing up each week, etc. At that point I lost interest.

I am a nurse so I remember when it first premiered it was the closest thing to a real hospital on TV at the time and I found it interesting to watch, and I LOVED the characters.

I watched the pre show and the finale because I am sentimental and I was sad for the cast and crew. I enjoyed the pre show better than the finale.

I think Michael Crighten (sp) would have been proud.

I thought Eric Lesall looked HOT AS CAN BE, alot better than he used to. He just bugged me years ago, but I was drooling the other night.

I CAN NOT STAND KEM. :

Everybody looked good IMO. I CRIED when they did the flashback thing of Reese signing "daddy" to Benton for the first time. My kid is deaf too and that was the first time seeing that clip since finding out, it just hit me differently this time.

Rachel is sooooooooo grown up. r:

I just finished watching it-loved it. It was just right. Some finales just don't live up, give too much or too little- I think it balanced. I liked the way it was so similar to the pilot- where the nurse woke Morris up in the on call room/ same nurse, same thing to Dr. Green. Preshow was wonderful. Loved seeing Romano again- the guy you love to hate.

And what happened to the alcohol-overdose girl?? Did she wake up?

Did Dr. Banfield get to adopt the newborn baby?

Overdose girl died and I think that banfield did an open adoption with the mom... That was a couple episodes ago.

wow. I must have missed all that.

I couldn't watch it. That childbirth bit was completely ridiculous. Women are better off without that.

I must have missed that part of the girl dying. I saw the part of the open adoption w/ the birth mom, but didn't know if it really went through.

Me too. I know I watched it up to Dr. Greene dying and then maybe watched some of the next season but I think Dr. Romano getting his arm chopped off by a helicopter did me in. And then I saw in the retrospective that apparently he died because a helicopter fell on him?? I know I never saw that!

I just watched it and I didn't see the teen who drank all the alcohol die. They showed her kind of rolling her eyes around and John Stamos said how she wasn't having purposeful responses and they were going to do a CT scan. I don't think they showed her after that.

I agree the childbirth scene was really horrible. As soon as they said something about the OB resident not being there yet, I knew the mom was going to die. Then I watched the retrospective and saw the clips of a show and noticed how they had several flashbacks of mothers dying but none of fathers.

I thought Sherry Stringfield looked good too. Maura Tierney looked like she needed her hair combed in the retrospective though.
