Charlie's Soap

I've been using Charlie's Laundry Soap to wash all of my diapers and clothes. I was really surprised that I was able to find it locally, and at a good price too!!It's been great so far, but I noticed on a website that rates detergents for diapers that Charlie's has been known to cause rashes/burns?! Has anyone had any troubles with this? I'm still pretty new to cloth diapers...still loving it!

The only rash we had while using Charlie's was close to the beginning when I wasn't using enough detergent. People had told me that I should use less than the recommended amount and I did, not realizing that Charlie's is 100% water soluble and so I CAN and SHOULD use the full amount to make sure there is no bacteria build-up. Once I started using the full amount, the rash disappeared instantly. It was definitely a "user" problem, not a "detergent" problem.

I've been using it exclusively for 3.5 years now with no problems. I've been using it for all laundry, including diapers and family cloth, in both a top loader and, later, a front loader. hth.
