High Estradiol Levels....Advice needed

Hi- new here. Looking for some advice and feedback. My DH (38) and I (38) had all our preliminary tests completed & my estradiol levels came back high (85). My obgyn suggested I go see a specialist. After discussing with DH, our only option would be unmedicated IUI (we probably couldn't handle anything more invasive- emotionally & financially!). Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, I'd be very appreciative if you were willing to share your experience. We really have no one to turn to for advice (no one we know has experienced infertility). Would herbs/supplements make any difference? All suggestions are welcomed! Thanks

HI

I would strongly recommend you seek treatment from a traditional chinese medicine practitioner. I didn't have your specific issue but last May I was told it was improbable that I would get pregnant on my own and that I needed donor eggs. Or so said the fertility expert. I disagreed and immediately scheuled an appointment with a TCM doctor and began supplements, chinese medicine, and acupuncture. I just knew it would balance me out and fix what was broken so to speak. Within 3 months my blood work was where it should be and, it took a while but I am now pregnant, so it worked. And it was much cheaper, less stress, and much healthier than Western interventions. Get a copy of The Infertility Cure by Randine LEwis it's a great book.

Best of luck.

Thanks!

Thanks for your suggestions. I actually work in a predominantly Asian neighborhood & was considering those options. I'm not too keen on invasive treatments and was going to hold off for about 3 months before we see a specialist (I'm guessing the drs. also stressed seeing a specialist because of our ages). I will check out the book (I'm a research junkie anyway) and I do need to reasses my diet (or lack of...).

Best,
~Karina
