I have to go to class soon, but I am happy to report that my paper is finally coming along. I'm looking forward to being done so I can 100% connect with this baby and love him with all I've got.

I saw her hubby's post too. It just awful. With the IF and it being their first child.

I've had an okay day today. I really lost my energy for nesting about two weeks ago, wondering when/if it will come back. I force myself to do a little bit but if I don't take lots of breaks, my feet swell.

My kids are riding their bikes, and they are so cute. They wanted me to tie little baskets onto the front of their bikes. I love it when they love the simple things.

Lilgreen--GL on getting your paper done. I know how it feels to have something like that hanging over you.

LJ--So sorry baby is breech. GL tomorrow and hope you have a wonderful recovery and babymoon.

Re: baby size, my mw estimated this one's size to be 6-6.5lbs on the 23rd. I think this week would be great He/she should be big enough.

I've been thinking about Mischievium as well. We had some losses on my last DDC and I've had a couple friends with stillbirths as well so I guess I never take things for granted.


I woke up this morning thinking it is now April and baby can come out now! I don't think I have to worry about baby being that big. My girls were both right under 7 lbs at 38 weeks when they were born, and my belly is the same size again (I think, I never measure so I'm just eyeballing) so I'm expecting a baby around there again.

I have a question regarding baby's movement. My baby definitely moves on and off throughout the whole day, but at this point what is "normal" as far as the extent of the movement? I guess what I'm asking is is it normal to just feel little tiny movements now - like wiggles? That's all I really feel and I'm sure its because there is no room for him in there, but I just need to be reassured that it's normal after all of this . I know Mischievium was always concerned with Soren's movement and I have not had a reason to be concerned, but like I said I just need a little reassurance.

It is normal for the movements to feel "smaller" as the baby has less room inside. When I did phone triage for L&D we used to tell women to lie down and do a kick count, and they should get at least four movement "episodes" in an hour. But if it was a big decrease from usual or they were really worried we would have them come in for monitoring.

I keep checking in on the mamas who are MIA- secondimpression's water broke a couple of days ago, and no update yet. And Leah, too!! I can't wait to hear the news.

And my kind of overwhelming update... my husband has been offered an expense paid trip to attend the launch of an anthology that he was published in - in Newfoundland on April 24th. And he tentatively said yes. My due date is the 11th, so I'm really hoping the baby isn't late!!! We can have family come to help out with me and the baby, so that's not an issue. I just want the baby to come so he can attend!

DD is having a cry fest today. She says she ONLY wants a sister. She's been crying on and off for over an hour because the baby might be a boy and we won't tell her She says she has too many brothers and its not fair if she's the only girl.

I just want the baby to come so he can attend!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that baby comes soon so your hubby can go on his trip!

yikes!! They estimated me at 7 lbs a week ago monday, so 38 ish weeks...you're gonna have big one! The big ones have squishy cheeks

My understanding is that there's a change in quality, but not necessarily quantity. As long as you're feeling movement, he's probably fine. But, like pp said, if you feel nervous, call!

Wow! How awesome for him and what bad timing! Our band was offered a radio spot that we really wanted on 4/16 and we had to turn it down . I hope it all works out for you guys.

Well, I decided that I wasn't helping the baby come by sitting around the house all day like I did the last couple of days, so I decided to just get in the shower and leave this morning. I ran a bunch of errands, dropped by dh's work for lunch and went to the mall to walk. I hate the mall and I was walking with a frozen yogurt cone in my hand, but hey, at least I was moving! Now I'm going to clean up a bit around here. At least straighten the bedroom up in case we do have to bring a baby home to this place sometime soon.

I'm going to go read mischievium's husband's post now...sigh.

I just pulled a big sliver out of my belly. Now I have a lovely cut where I gouged it out with tweezers. I've turned into the biggest clutz in the past week. I've bumped my belly so many times!

I agree. I've always gotten along better with boys. They're less complicated or at least seem that way

My Aaron had BIG cheeks when he was born. We joked with the nicu nurses that all his fat went to cheeks. He had hanging jowels. It was so great. I'm surprised he doesn't have permenate indents from all the pinching
He still has nice full cheeks but at 2.5 is less accomodating about pinches

The baby feels even lower tonight not really sure about that though. I think my muscles are just starting to give out

Dh is off getting Chinese for lost night I told baby that I'm willing to give up lost tonight but that offer might not be there later so if it wants a Wednesday birthday tidays the day

I am addicted to egg drop soup lately. my mom craved egg rolls with me. maybe if i have a girl, some day she'll crave beef & broccoli when she's pregnant.

My EDD is the 23rd as well. I will be shocked if I go beyond that at all (shame on me I know), but its hard because DS came at 37 weeks and this LO feels bigger and even more active with stronger kicks and punches. My body just feels kind of worn out right now, you know hard to get in and out of the tub, up the stairs, out of bed, off the floor.

I haven't gotten any estimates on weight or size of baby or offers of a last-minute u/s. Is that common? My OB said she could feel that baby was head down, so thats a relief anyway. No mention of my GBS test results and I forgot to ask. I'll have to call tomorrow just to be sure I suppose. G'night all! Wishing us all a good nights rest!

My April Fool's joke was to tell DH that I had decided that I for sure do want another baby... But we had to start trying right now before I lose my nerve.

my mw only does the routine 20 week u/s unless there's indication for another...I just asked her to guess when she was palpating.
