April in ABQ - Page 14

Yep, I've talked to my midwife. She is going to come do the screening this evening. We were trying to find a family doctor or pediatrician who could write up the lab order for us so our insurance would cover it (they don't cover our midwife).

Unfortunately the After Hours/NM Peds group doesn't take Tricare so we can't use them which is a bummer since it seems like they are pretty well liked. We tried Dr Kaufman's office, too, but they said they won't see infants at all.

We have a ton of bags too COmommy.

Linz - Have you tried BeBe Han? He is down by UNM and recommended by some moms.

Congrats on the new babe, Linz! Good luck on the doctor search.

COMommy, as luck would have it, I have a wedding to attend that day at that time. I'd skip it but I'm sure they'd notice the MOH and the 2 flower girls missing.

ASF, Happy Birthday to C!!

Burk, I think tonight is a UNM pre-K thing, don't hold me to that. It's not a pg thing.

I got a catalog in the mail today athleta.com this catalog is the life I was meant to have. Now I just need to figure out how to get it.

Linz, we see Preston Matthews over on Juan Tabo near Indian School. He's a family doctor, not a ped. He's okay with me not vaxing but I've been a patient for 16 years so I'm not sure if it's only because he doesn't want to piss off half his clientel (sp?) My entire family (including my husband's) goes there.

DNR, thanks for calling. It was great to get the kids out before a long day in the car.

COMommy, I have a ton of those bags, so I'll save them for you.

My midwife mentioned him this evening, too. Gonna call him tomorrow morning for an appointment. Gonna try a glycerin suppository tonight. Hopefully it will get things moving!

I've been thinking about this all day and kept getting the letters mixed up. . .for some reason all I could think of was "DNR".

Burk, Emans is right. . .tonight was an info session for UNM's Pre-K program for the fall. Don't worry, you didn't miss anything exciting. In fact, it was as chaotic and disorganized as such an event could possibly be.

Elm - good luck on your trip! I think you'll need it!

Linz - good luck with the pedi search!

Emans - I just checked out that site. Nevermind the lifestyle, I just want the body!

Rach - bummer about missing the party, but I'm sure the wedding will be super fun too!

Comommy - the 16th lunch time is perfect! I have my graduation ceremony that evening, but as long as I can leave by 3pm or so, I'm good And I have a ton of bags too so the kids can make as many vests as they desire!

So after the back to back epidurals and a change in medication - over the past week or so I've gotten much better : Been out of the house several times now without the wheelchair! Dr. Harvie says I'm improving so much he doesn't want to do surgery. So now we are hoping for continued improvement over the next while and I'm hoping to be pain free again at some point.

Hopefully H and I will be able to see you all soon.

Elm - Safe travels!

Happy Birthday to Baby C and all the other little ones who had birthdays this spring! H turned 2 this month!

Dh put our Siggs in the dishwasher this morning. I always handwash them since the instructions say not to put them in the dishwasher. They seem to be fine. Do any of you run yours through the dishwahser? Does it really damage anything? (like the paint, inner coating or rubber gaskets?)

Okay if DRN is too hard just go back... DNR is yucky.

Anybody know how to get crayon and nail polish out of carpeting??

It took me an hour to figure out how to register for ONE class at UNM and I still didnt do it right....I may be too old for this project.
Doularn, it's not just you. The registration system sucks and is confusing as all get-out. Even for a spring chicken like me

Your not to old DoulaRN

good luck Elm

Peace, glad you are doing so much better.

DoulaRN, if you spot check for safety, I think you could use nail polish remover. Honestly though I just leave stuff like that for the carpet guy.

Holy cow, miss a couple of days and 100 things happen!

Elm, good luck on your trip. I cracked up when you typed DNR in one of your posts.

Doularn, I wouldn't know ya as DRN. I like your sn.

Linz, congrats on the new baby!!!

Peace, I'm glad you've found some pain relief and that things look hopeful.

Happy Birthday to C, ASF! Five is a great age, except for the lying-for-the-heck-of-it thing.

CO Mommy, it sounds like you have the workings of a great party.

I'll go make a new thread for May since Elm is traveling.
