Me too. Sigh.

AAP Comes out Against Breastfeeding Promotion

MA Lactation Specialist Kills Self at New Year

(that would be me)

JK, but come on!

I do find Dr Jay Gordon's use of the word "emasculate" curious tho!?

Quote:
Dr. Gordon reports that, that in his view, the AAP leadership has “weakened and emasculated (the ads) to suit the manufacturers of formula,”

What can we do about this?

I am sure there is somewhere we can write, isn't there?

I will do it but I don't know how to go about it.

“I rely on the breastfeeding experts to help me learn more about breastfeeding issues, but some of the science behind these breastfeeding claims is shaky. It’s just not solid yet, and you know how some of these breastfeeding enthusiasts can lack objectivity,” noted Dr. Johnston.
OH MY GOD THIS ACTUALLY CAME FROM THE MOUTH OF THE NEW HEAD OF THE AAP

SO SAD.

How is that Dr Dick?
Lacking objectivity with being Health-conscious?
or not being objective with regard to the economy by being Thrifty and being a bad consumer by not buying formula?
Or not being objective with my childs health by being unwilling to take my child to a wacked Pediatrician that belongs to the AA f'ing P?

BOYCOTT the American Academy of Pediatrics and its affiliates by NOT using the affiliate doctors. Take your children to family practice doctors or other health care providers.
Do not buy books put out by the AAP and and send a financial message that American Mothers are not interested in the kind of "medicine" the American Academy of Propaganda practices on the children of this country :Puke

:Puke This is really so appalling that it makes me sick.

On a happier note, I am very excited about the ad councils new campain. I think it will make a real difference.

I felt the ad campaign was too good to be true. I often feel as if we have not so much a country as a corporation. Nothing ever happens that doesn't benefit the corporate machine.
