~*~ pagans foolin' around in april! ~*~ - Page 23

You can do this Pam! Where I went to school, and mom too, most clinical hours were day shift... I think mine usually started at 7am report. If that's the case you might need some before/after school care? But it shouldn't be huge! Congratulations and good luck :::

I'm sure Jon will be fine with me posting a pic or two on caringbridge for all the people that have been thinking of him through all this, I just didn't think to ask But I'll definitely put a couple on my photobucket to share with you mamas! You all helped hold me together through that 8wks of hell, so I reckon a picture or two of us all in good health is a fair repayment

Now.. starting thinking it will rain money into cari's bank acct thoughts lol. Our 900 buck tax bonus just hit the bank today.. that's half of a plane ticket I'm going to loot the other half from hubby's tax acct and add $ to our fortnightly deposits to make it up by the end of the tax year in June I'm willing to go into a little debt for this.. but if I can find a way to minimize that life would be good

Lioness - wishing you a wonderful love filled marriage, and a great wedding day!

Maia - Woo-hoo!!!! That is so awesome!! You can do it. Nursing programs are hard work but worth it! I had only 2 evening rotations in clinicals.

Cari - I am so happy about Jon's amazing recovery!! Yay Jon!!!

Today has been uber crap filled. I am still waiting on our taxes. I found out that I overdrew my checking acct (because I was mad at Macy's and had to pay them off). Then I find out that circumstances dictate that I remove my DH (urgh!) from using his debit card. I am so mad at him I could freaking spit!! I hate feeling like I need to parent my partner. I had enough of that w/ the first husband. Oh, and DD has strange watery blisters on both thumbs and index fingers that appeared yesterday. My guess is maybe allergies?! We know she has a few food allergies but can't pin it on anything. Maybe that was it? She hasn't had a fever at all so I am not inclined to think chicken pox. But it also wasn't like she was out digging ditches either! Any guesses?

And now I am second guessing my decision to take this recnet job after all. I am doubting my abilities. And fraught w/ worry.
I am hoping tomorrow is better. At least we know it will be for Lioness!!

Ty mamas! I'm so proud of him I could just burst... so many people would have just wanted to curl up and join the one they loved, but he soldiered on.

Gun.. I've btdb with the debit card abusing SO : We still have issues occasionally with nickle & diming but he's so much better now... oddly enough we have more money than we ever have, but he's more careful about his small splurges. Go figure?

Lioness... have a blissfully beautiful day tomorrow. I am sure everything will come off flawlessly and you will have a gorgeous day

Sorry to interrupt (I am not Pagan sorry!) I was helping the mods reading and wanted to say that I have experienced those with soaps or lotions, I have allergy issues with fragrances.

Gun- Acct problems- yep, they stink!

New jobs always take lots of adjustment. You will be fine! :

Maia- Woohoo! : My Mom just go done with her program and yes, i was hard. I rarely saw her...but, when all was said and done, she was so proud and loves her work, so it was worth it. :

Not be-yotchy at all. I have been doing stuff to work on myself. I drove around town last week, with my Mom. Still working out and loosing weight, slowly. You are right on me needing to work on not reacting hugely. I decided the other day that I just need to let it go or at the very least TRY to, cause it gonna be work.

He's having ice cream cake & got a swish illuminated new keyboard for his birthday and I sent him a nice gift card so I'm sure more techy toys will be coming lol. I just talked to him and Jon, who's up there for the weekend Jon's update: he's been discharged from all therapies! AND he's going to return to work in a couple of weeks : We never thought he would recover so FAST!! He said he's just going to show up at work one morning hehehe! (his boss has been holding his job for him all this time) He was pretty happy with my plan to be there for his birthday
That is fabulous news about Jon!

2) being able to handle doing this *with* a kid. yikes. but i know plenty of other mamas who've done it, and with more kids, and with a job. they are my strength. i just don't handle lots of things well.
my treasure map says "Nursing Made Easy" in the career spot!
Yay! :

Happy Beltane Mamas!!!! I am operating on 3 hours of sleep because I went to the midnight showing of Wolverine last night Had a blast, even though the movie was totally shorter than expected.

I am thinking of doing a little meditation for fertility today. Just light a candle and focus on being abundantly fertile I might get my journal and sit outside later to write in it. I will need a new one soon too.

:::: Happy Beltane!

i HATE that, about parenting a partner. that's why i don't complain (much ) about being a single parent. when ds was born, i had him (and being a first time mom), his father (who was 46 going on 9), and his half sister, who was 11 going on 3. it was bloody awful.
his 2nd son had the same name as he did, and he actually let that boy go to Costa Rica on a credit card that was mine, with his name on it, because the boy's name was the same and then was like..."what?" with this blank look when i was livid about it. the kid ran up $3-400 on it while there, and did dh have any money to pay it? of course not :

chicken pox starts on the torso, i believe. at any rate, not on the fingers and hands! no idea, mama. if it's only thumbs and index fingers, i'm guessing something she touched and had a reaction to?

well...i have got all the prereqs out of the way, so there's that, at least. all i have left to take is the actual nursing classes.
what kind of nursing does she do?

that's what i meant, not the working on you that involves exercise and being out of the house. i meant the part about spiritually, self confidence, not going all needy on him (codependent) cause he is not going to be all about that at *all*, being able to give him space and let him get used to being back, being able to hang with yourself even though he's there, being able to see your part in arguments and not blaming, practicing acceptance. that kind of work

Happy Beltaine, all! off to go a'Maying!
