Wet Felting eggs question

So I want to make some eggs, (like this) that have 2 or 3 layers of color.
Can I wet felt one layer (white) and then other layers after it's felted and dried or all at once?
Do you know what I mean?
Does anyone know?

I think that maybe you could; although it's probably best to wrap all your colors and then felt. The felting process is what binds the fibers to each other, but I'm not sure how it would work to have some felted and some not felted. Do you have enough yarn to do the project a couple times? You could just experiament and see what happens.

If you felt the white layer enough that it holds together, but not too tightly and then add the next layers, that should work. Wet felting on top of felt isn't as easy as felting two layers of fibre together.
If you're just looking to make an egg with two (or three) layers of colour, no pattern, I can't see any reason not to just do it all at once. Much quicker and easier...
