Madiline - I don't like alternative spellings of classic names... again from experience it gets old having to spell your name for people. Madeline is really popular around here, I know four little girls named Madeline.
Adaline or Adalaide - I like Adalaide
Juliet - Like this one too.
Amelie - I like it. It does immediately make me think of the movie.

Sorry I could never use the name Kali for my childs name because of the religious significance behind the name. There is another one that I have seen some use around here I could also not use because of the same reasons. I think it would be a hard name to grow with with the ties that come with it.

I am not in love with the spelling but I think Madalyn is a very pretty name.

Abigail is such a pretty classic name.

I think Elijah and Delilah would be awesome sibling names together. I like the song "hey there delilah" I have no idea who sings it, but I have the tune in my head.

I like the name Amelia. Sounds very simple/little house on the prairie to me. My brother used the variation of Amele' (Ahhh-mih-lay) which I also love.

BIG FAT NO to Sun and Stormy (especially stormy, that's just stupid)

I was so going to mention that Stormy was a horsey name, I guess I am not the only one who read those books in grammar school.

Juliet's dope. It was almost my name I like the spelling as I'm a big fan of girl's names that end on a consonant.

I had a close friend, Sunny, when I was like four, but no idea how the name weathers (sorry) as she grows. Seems like our resident Sunshine already weighed in on that, though.

I love Madeleine, but it's too common. And I don't like alternative spellings, either.

Abigail is my favorite of Jilian's names (love Madeleine, but see above). I don't like the multi-syllabic effects of Abigail-illy or Abigail-lella, so I'd pick Violet.

Abigail is way too common(maybe it's a southern thing? I know a few little girls around here named Abigail) - but if it had to be Abigail I think Ella sounds the best with it.

I really like Annabelle- has great nicknames, I especially love Nan. I also like Madeline (or Madeleine) spelled conventionally. The others are all pretty except for Stormy- really don't like it. And Sun is so-so, don't love it.

Lots of Lucys out there these days. Amelie is a great name but will remind everyone of the movie.

Abigail is OK, I know a couple of small Abigails suddenly- is it getting more popular? I like your middle names you have to go with it better. Especially Violet.

The religious significance would be her as a very strong Goddess often associated with Death and Destruction. Though some do worship her in a Mother form or a Goddess of change, it is not as common. She commonly is shown wearing a garland of human heads and is the patron of thieves. My issue as some one not of the Hindu faith is I would not use a Goddess name let alone one that has some very strong negative associations within the culture and outside the culture.

Thanks for sharing. I didn't know about that. I'm crossing that name off my list now. I don't want my baby girl associated with the goddess of death, especailly after what happened with DS2.

I love Abigail (though if I were going to use it I'd spell it Abigael instead, because I prefer the Irish spelling). It's very popular around here. I think of the middle names you picked Violet works best. I don't like the combination of L's that occurs with Ella or Lily.

Kali seems more like a nickname rather than a full first name and yeah there is that Hindu goddess connection.

Madalyn, again really popular name and I'm not a big fan of creative/alternative spellings.
