i know, right, how the heck did it get to be APRIL!!!

On a happy note, I forgot to mention that DH's plane tickets and hotel etc are all reserved for him to come up to the job fair in Anchorage in two weeks. Not that I relish the thought of him leaving AGAIN (when he just got home...yeah, he's only been home 2 of the last 6 weeks...) BUT it means a job, and I want that job like you wouldn't believe. Yay for leaving Pelican.

This was fun, LOL!
I did a google search on dh with the word Alaska added. I know he gets interviewed off and on, but I did not realize how often!

Not I but my friend did. like 4 times! She said they were pretty good. I wish I knew the name of the artist that did her arm and leg.

I went to Good Karma (not for ink) to get my Dd's ears pierced. They refused, and yelled at us for thinking of going to a store to get it done. In the end, we pierced them ourselves with frozen potatoes and a sterilized needle, but the folks at GK were (to us) elitist , rude, and really foul-mouthed. (My daughter was 11, IIRC, and they don't do piercings, or didn't, for anyone under 18).

Anyway, it's not a tattoo, but their service was juvenile and crass, and anyone who cusses like a sailor in front of a 5yo and 3yo isn't someone I'd want putting a needle into my skin.

love, penelope

Welcome April :, not welcome Ash. I was actually happy to see a spring snowstorm blow through (southcentral AK) and cover up all the grey. But Mrs. Mt Redoubt blew again and its gray again. No biggie. I suppose it doesn't matter much, soon enough it'll be brown everywhere.... then GREEN! A big plus to all of this is a great gardening season to come!

Yeah, my son heard that on the news this morning & came running in to tell me. I'd turned off the computer last night believing it was orange and maybe going back to sleep. Oh well! Yep, I've been thinking my gardens will be happy.

Funny, we were looking at a house here in town with 1.5 acres and 6 BR. But, this morning rather than drive over for an in-depth look, we bailed b/c of the long drive...guess that tells us we shouldn't move that far over. Only 15 mins by bike but 25 mins by car--that crazy parkland!

Gorgeous day here. Hope everyone is enjoying. We're doing taxes...
