Just wanted to share that on Mar. 20 I had my baby at home after having c-sections with my other 2 pregnancies. I was a little over 3 weeks early but my midwife was fine with that.
This isn't really the birth story but just a few things I thought I would share.
Overall it was about 12 hrs start to finish. I really was not worried about the vbac aspect but did have some worries that I was too small while in the pushing phase. I labored for 2 hrs in the birth pool, where I became complete (but didn't realize it for a couple of hrs until after my doula asked me if I knew I was complete, lol).
I thought the whole birth was very painful, starting with my contractions that were 1-2 minutes long every 1-2 minutes. And then the feeling of pushing out what felt like a very large bowel movement, and the burning vaginal area, and the bladder pain where all almost too much. I ended up with bad hemorrhoids and a little tear that did not require stitches or glue.
At the time of labor/birth and during my painful healing during the first couple of days, I thought that pain-wise this was just a horrible experience, but those thoughts have already started to wear off. I have ended up with a very peaceful baby that rarely cries and nurses like a champ and I feel this was due to his birth experience.
