cloth diapering is so easy! - Page 2

Congrats on cloth diapering your first babe I would suggest using a doubler in your diapers for extra absorbency. Perhaps a fleece topped hemp doubler? I LOVE Kissaluvs, and have a bunch of their doublers, but never tried them so I can't comment on how absorbent they are. Put I *think* I remember them being pretty cheap.

To address the staining issue, can you sun your dipes? All the stains will come out with a little sun. Or you can try a wet pail.
For the prefold wetness issue, try a doubler and fleece/raw silk liner or a fleece topped hemp doubler at night and naptimes. I find more redness when using cotton as opposed to hemp or bamboo which have antibacterial properties.
I also think it's easier to cd than use sposies. I was always having to take out the garbage with sposies and run to the store for more diapers. Ugh!! Cding is way easier and cuter

Sorry to take your thread ot, Altair. Even with this staining, rinsing thing it's a lot easier than I was expecting. And I use prefolds with covers I made.
don't worry about the stains. If you put them out in the sunshine when they are still a little damp, the stains will magically disappear within just a few minutes. It's truly amazing....lol
