Cravings?

I need to distract myself from my cravings. Tell me what has you drooling!

I picked up a bag of all dressed ruffle chips on a whim the day I got my pos. (Dh had the older kids out at a movie, and I decided to watch some House with a snack I didn't have to share ). I wasn't craving them particularly; I just wanted to avoid a sweet snack. But I just couldn't start eating them, and I've been craving them ever since. I don't know what it is, there is just something in them. I picked up another bag yesterday, and when I opened it last night my mouth just flooded with drool. Luckily for me, I haven't been craving sweets -- I usually have a super sweet tooth. But I want salty, fatty, buttery stuff. I could soooooo go for a couple of pounds of mild bbq chicken wings.

Oh, and I've wanted cheese and crackers a lot, too. I did with my last pg also.

Sauerkraut is so good for you omg, but don't do what I did and eat a half jar of it. It cleans you out which is great and all but it can also be a stimulant and possibly create a not good situation for pregnancy. Sometimes my cravings for it can be ridiculous. If the stuff you get only has 1 or 2 ingredients then you can be sure that it is full of good stuff.

If you like sauerkraut try the silver floss kind it is in a bag normally in with the meats rinse it! you can add some cream of mushroom soup a little sour cream salt and egg noodles mix it in the crock pot (not the noodles they get made and added last) let it cook most of the day you can add polish sausage also it is sooooo yummy I think I am going to make it this week now! it is lazy perogie

Pork rinds. : I craved them last pregnancy too. Its not something I normally eat but they are something my dad used to feed me as a child and I had no idea what they were, just that they were yummy. Does anyone else crave something they haven't eaten since a child? I love sauerkraut. I think Bubbie's is the best brand - its in the refrigerated section. Its juice is cloudy with good bacteria from the natural fermenting process of making it. Bubbie's is supposed to be good for you. Don't like their pickles though.

I never seen Bubbie's when I had Ds my Babci (grandma) brought me some Saurerkraut for dinner the next day because that was all I wanted and she makes it the best! LOL she is makeing some this week with porkbones my: since reading this thread I have been wanting some and now that she is makeing it I dont have to

ETA: I havent craved stuff with this pregnancy that I haven't had as a child but with Ds it was baby pickels (I know so sterotypical) but it had to be baby ones. I could eat a whole jar in one sitting and not realize it I was pregnant with my sister at the time just a few weeks apart and she craved them also so there we were two crazy sisters eating all the baby pickels with our huge bellies
