How funny Me, too!

I've been a SAHM for te past 6 years (ever since DD1 was about a year old; but I took him to work with me before that).

In 2007, a friend of mine and I started a business locally that provides doula services and other maternal resources to local women. It's a job that works (barring a birth) well for me and allows me both the intellectual and spiritual satisfaction of having a career while my kids are in school, and the flexibility and continuous presence of being a SAHM. Since we're not making an income from our business right now, I'm not really "working" exactly!

My friend just had a baby in Dec 08, and mine is due in Dec 09, so we'll co-nurse with the babes, and continue to watch each other's children (7 of them!!) while we "work" - but all told, I still consider myself a SAHM, and likely to continue for a long time yet.

I was blessed to be a SAHM with #1 for 2-and-1/2-years, but it's not looking like that's going to be possible with this new little one! Well, I can still hope!

I can't complain though. My job has a daycare in it and I will get to see him/her whenever I want/need to.

I'm a SAHM and we homeschool. I plan to have several more children and keep them all at home with me, so don't forsee "going back to work" ever.

But I do have an internet business that has not yet turned a profit but which I could really use some profit from, so I'm working to turn it into a money-making venture before this little one shows up!

I love being home with my kids, and I only wish dh could join us . . . :

im a work-some and stay-home-some mom. i have a home business as a doula, ibclc, cbe, and do parenting classes etc. but when im pregnant and have newborns i usually cut way back. this yr i am doing a mw apprenticeship and have had wayyy too much fun catching babies, so i hope i dont have to cut back until i am huge! i dont homeschool, i would if i felt capable, but the kids teachers are so amazing and i could never compare!

Yep, I'm a SAHM too. Well, I am a college student as well but my main priority is my family.
