UPDATED #26 Need nighttime "Pull-Up" type super-absorbent trainer

ISO cloth "Pull-Up".

He went a year without wetting at night (he's completely day-trained), and then he started bedwetting all the time. I've been buying Pull-ups, but they're not really big enough and they leak and apparently this is an ongoing problem so I'm sick of spending the money. He weighs about 42 lbs, and will be four years old in a couple of months.

Help!

TIA!

I'll be watching this thread - DS is 4 and still wets at night... I've had to go to 'sposie goodnights type pull ups and while they work they are *expensive!*

The motherease bedwetter pants have always worked for us. They are bulky- but never leak. My son is about the same size as yours and he wears a small.

Starbunz superundies come in large (size 4-5) and an x-large - they can also be stuffed (we use hemp inserts) just like a pocket dipe. Designed to be trim & pull up and down like undies.

Bummis trainers are also pretty nice, I have an old second hand one of them and it's handled a lot without leaking. A little more bulky however.

I wish you luck. I went to Etsy to request someone to make me some cloth pull ups/good nights. My son is 9 and still wets and we can't use the bedwetting alarm with goodnights but can with cloth, I just dont' want to risk ruining his bed etc. Anyway, long story short, someone said they would make them and I never got the package even though I got my money back. I am so tired of spending 15 bucks a week on it. Problem is, my son is 67 lbs now and much taller so everything else is too small.

I found 2 Nicky's at a thrift store. and i think they are probably trainers but we only use them at night on ds4 and he's a big boy- wears a size 5 pants. and are roomy and have never leaked.I just wish we had like 2-4 more I have to wash them everyother day -if he wets. I've always had good luck with Nicky brand. They are really thick so they take a little longer to dry but not usually an issue if I dry them and then let them finish air drying the rest of the day before bed!

They have some trainers here that I've thought looked good, but I haven't tried them, my ds isn't PL'ing yet...

Some are discontinued and on sale now. They are sorta pricey, but you don't really need that many if you can wash every couple days...
Snap-EZ

I like that they pull on/off but you can also un-snap for accidents.

I was gonna suggest snap ez as well. They also have a sister site for adult dipes for incontinence and what not which might work for the mama with the 9 yr old.

Thank you so much for the input!

So is "Nicky's" the same as nicki'sdiapers? Or is that a separate brand?

Off to check out the rest!

Well, I can't find any Starbunz in stock in his size, though they are cute. And I figured out the Nikky's and found some, but they're twice as much as these:

from One Step Ahead. Anyone tried them? I think I will order two, they're pretty cheap.

Oh, and I can't find an American dealer for Motherease. Polishmom, where did you get yours?

OK, I'm a dork. I just found the Mother-Ease website.

I HATED my STARBUNZ!!!!!! Leaked - low butt - snaps broke - snagged etc....

Bummis are not super absorbent nor are the Imse Vimse

A Happy Heiny pocket trainer with snaps (easier to stuff) is great - holds 2 prefolds

Bum Ware training pants are my favs - trimmer but still can stuff w/prefold and insert

Also works well: a Blue Penguin pull on snap off fitted under a Bummis whisper pant - easy to pull off

HTH

Thanks MamaStarz!

I went with the Happy Heiny, I just ordered two to see how they work.

Also glad to hear you can stuff 2 prefolds in there, that should do the trick!

The HH trainers run large but the websites usually warn you - I got 2 toddler sized prefolds in mine - HUGE butt - but dry!!!

I preferred the BumWare ones for trimness but couldn't stuff as much. They're better for lighter wetters.

Hi,

I'm a cloth newbie but bought a Nikki All-Night pant online for my 2.5 yo and it works like a charm... not very bulky either. I bought at babyworks.com, they suggested a hemp doubler too but we found we didn't even need it. HTH!

Thanks, I looked at those, but they're so spendy! I also wasn't sure it could hold up, he's a big boy and a heavy wetter. But if the Happy Heinys don't work, maybe I'll try it.

Like one of the previous posters, I would suggest the Happy Heinys trainers. They are a bit "poofy", but they have plenty of room to stuff them with whatever you need to. For super heavy night wetters, I have found that a super-do insert with a prefold wrapped around it (preferably a prefold with some hemp in it) keeps them dry all night. I like the HH trainers as well because of their sizing. You can get them in just about any size for any size child.

HTH!

I need this same thing. I was thinking of getting the Starbunz. Are the HH easy to pull down themselves? That is what I really need, if it isn't easy enough for him to pull down I may as well just put him in a dipe at night.
