Babywearing and Diapers

Not sure if I should post this to Babywearing or Diapering...

DD's current favorite around-the-house carrier position is sitting lotus-style in the ring sling.

If I have her in our standard prefold/wrap cover, she gets big-time red indentations wherever the edges of the cover get pushed into her skin by the sling, which is cinched pretty tightly b/c she doesn't sit yet so it has to hold her upright.

I use wool at night specifically to avoid the cover leaving marks, but if I do that in the sling it wicks through the sling and onto my clothing.

I do have a few AIOs and pockets, but my thinking is that they'll invariably leave the same indentations and marks on her that the covers do.

The indentations are relatively deep, IMO, on her thighs and belly. They of course eventually go away, but it just seems to me that on some level it can't be comfortable for DD, though she's always perfectly content in the sling.

Do you all just deal with the red marks, or have any of you found a solution to this? Is there some perfect diaper or cover out there that doesn't have hard edges AND doesn't wick when smooshed in the carrier?

If you really can pack that diaper, your wool won't wick, but I use a Thirsties cover that is a little generous for my LO and I pull it down lower on his legs.. That seems to prevent the red marks for us...

I don't know. That happened with my beautiful chubby little babies legs too...

I guess that is a little tough! I use pockets but I don't froggy her legs anymore and she is always facing in so IDK. Thirsties do have a lot of give in the gussets tho.

see, when i have that problem, it itches like crazy so i have the feeling its got to at least itch if not hurt!

could you try doubling pfs and put them down a bit further on her legs and try wool?
