looking for suggestions

I didn't start wearing DS until he was around 4 months old. We have a new baby due this summer so I am looking forward to wearing a newborn.

This is what I have:
hotsling
maya wrap ring sling
ultimate baby wrap
ergo

I don't have an infant insert for the ergo, so I realize that I can't use that until baby can sit up in it properly. I did like the UBW for DS but remember it being too stretchy and hard to get a good fit when he was little. I am not sure if I want to invest in a new wrap (or make one? out of what??)... also I do like the look of mei tai's but not sure how well they are for newborns??

Any advice is welcome. If I do purchase something new, I'd love to buy from a WAHM so feel free to recommend any etsy shops to me! (or PM me if you'd prefer). Thanks!

Your Maya Wrap would work really nicely with a newborn. I like using it with the baby in the upright position, legs in and nicely adjusted around him. I cushion the rings, by looping the tail through the slings once I have it on. It's super comfy to use and I'm even able to nurse this way.

I found a ring sling helpful when DD was newborn too, though I never mastered nursing with her in it. It's a good idea to try different positions as your babe may enjoy one more than another.

Well, I do agree that your Moby will probably work well for a newborn, but if you're just dying to buy something you might want to check out a Kangaroo Korner adjustable pouch. I loved mine. It was hands-down my favorite baby item. To be fair, I had a fleece one, which you may not want in the summer. But I would assume their cotton ones are as equally good. Let us know what you end up choosing.

Hmmm. your stash looks good to me What about a light wrap for summer wrapping like a Wrap 'n Wear or a Wrapsody???

I recommend the Butterfly. It's a bit of a splurge but you can wear it from newborn to toddler. You do have a good range of a stash, though. Another option would be to add a Moby Wrap or Wrapsody wrap.

If you want to make your own, you can get 5 yds of nice gauze, cotton jersey or woven material and overlock/serge the hems. There are DIY threads on TBW.
