Me too! Of course, if the girls want a specific book, I will go find it. Also, I installed a rain gutter below Maya's window in her room. This is a cheap way to display books forward facing. We also have bins for picture books, shelves for chapter books. But, my 3 yr old almost always selects from the rain gutter shelf.
I only rotate the picture books. I do it seasonally (March, June, Sept. & Dec). I like the books about winter out in the winter, etc. All the extra books are in bins in a closet. Technically they are still available, but out of sight is kinda out of mind at our house. So, last March, I pulled out the stuff about spring or wind or rain, planting gardens, etc as well as some of my favorites. In June, some of these will stay, and some will go back. I have weeded my collection occasionally.
