Can anyone help me with my serger problems?

OK. I have a White Speedylock 1600. It was working just fine a while ago when I was serging some baby wipes. The threads got under the foot the wrong way, and it stopped working. I re-threaded it (multiple times, being sure I did it correctly--I think). I _cannot_ get it to make any stitches at all. It seems like it's trying to, everything moves the way it's supposed to, but no stitches.

Does anyone have any ideas? If not, where can I take it so someone can help me with it?

TIA!!

ETA: My parents got it for me at Joann's. Do they help with this sort of thing?

While I can't help you with the problem you are having (being a TOTAL novice) I can tell you that yes, JoAnn's should be able to help you with this! I didn't even buy my (3rd time hand-me down) serger there and I'm able to take a free class and get tons of info. At least where live, they are really quite helpful.

Not sure if your brand is a Viking brand or not(I really mean novice!)...or if all JoAnn's having Viking distributors in their stores, but if those apply where you live them give them a call.

Good luck!

Perhaps our needle is bent and not locking into the stitches?

I'm not a seasoned serger like some so that is all I can think if you are sure about your threading.
