I'm just overjoyed not only that I get to have my little boy, but that i found this forum in time to truly educate myself and DH and to make an informed decision on such an important topic for him. This is great news and I sorely needed it because I tired to give info (two videos and a book) to someone I co-op with (she has three girls and now expecting a boy and congenital heart defects run through her kids so there is a high chance her son could also get it), well... She gave me all those materials back and said she didn't read it because she had her mind made up (her husband is a medical suppliy distributer which means he probably sells circ materials) that she was going to do the (can't say it here) 'ritual' thing. No, she is an Easter observant kind of gal... But is so fascinated with the wine part of 'it' (where they give the baby wine to drink during 'it') and she is doing it because of 'looks' THATS THE ONLY ARGUMENT! She wants to redesign her son's genitals so it resembels an actual congenital birth defect APOSTHIA! So so so very strange... I had the documentary 'CUT' and a book by Ronald Goldman and a short video announcement from Dr. Dean Edell to give to her Friday. I wasn't prepared for her to give me the other Materials back and to have her bluntly say, "We didn't view any of it." SHE WANTS TO BE IGNORANT! She set the materials down on the counter acted rushed to leave the door as to 'pretend' to 'forget' the materials and my son picked them up and said to her as she was leaving the room and said, "Here, you forgot these." and set them in her basket. I'm very proud of him but also very shook up about this situation in which a person is THAT BRAINWAHSED to WANT TO reduce her son's sex organs just so it 'looks' just right (pretty
) TO HER AND TO HER HUSBAND!!!
I'm so distraught by this, I can't sleep and I've been up since 3am...
So, thank you. You telling us that you will leave your ds intact gives me hope that not all parents wish to remain ignorant because they're so darn prejeduice against their son's genitals when he is born (natural) but they will love him once he has his cosmetic surgery.
