making PL more "convenient" w/ CD

OK - so DD2 is 19mo and starting to show interest in PL. We currently use a vast array of fitteds/covers & pockets. She is definately not ready for "trainers" yet. As to she has only actually gone potty twice. But I find myself shying from letting her on potty b/c of all of the "undoing" and "redoing" of the diap. She's "loving" her potty chair & sometimes is content to sit on it clothed. But I seriously would spend my entire day putting on & taking off diapes if I let her sit on the potty every time she wanted to.

I'm having a hard time remembering what we did w/ DD1 (she'll be 6 in july) - she PL @ 2.5yr fairly easily. (But I remember doing a lot of "pull ups" and I don't want to spend all that $ again!)

My best friend used her fuzzi bunz as trainers for her oldest... she just did the snaps slightly looser so she (or he) could pull it on and off!

We used mother-ease L sandy's fitteds as our trainers. They are side snapping diapers and fit fairly loose so they are easy to pull up and down. They absorb enough that they are ok without a cover and to our ds seemed more like big boy underwear

My ds is 2 and just about at the same stage as your dd. Right now we just put him on the potty after diaper changes, and only if he wants to, so that's easy for me. Sometimes I put him in a normal dipe with leg warmers so at least I don't have to deal with the pants! As it gets warmer it will get easier. A side snapping dipe will probably be my go-to later, as it has elastic in both the front and back and should be easier to pull on & off... There are some side snapping trainers out there, but I haven't tried them yet: http://www.snap-ez.com/Shopping.html

They look like they are discounting/discontinuing some of their trainers, so you might wanna get some now while they are on sale!!!
