Do you use an APLX w/ your toddler?

We're kind of in a SSC frenzy around here. We've tried the Beco and the Patapum. DH likes the Beco better, I think I do too. But DH also thinks we should each have our own. This is very out of character, but I'm sure not going to argue with it. Anyway, I'm thinking of the APLX, but read on TBW that some people feel like body is not wide enough to support a toddler, that their legs dangle too much. DD is already 3 feet tall so I'm wondering if other people have also found this to be true? Does your toddler seem comfortable or no? TIA.

Lucky you that your dh wants his own carrier, giving you perfect opportunity to add to your stash!
Well, my LO (not that little) is just over 37" tall and he doesn't have any problems being in the LX. I have not tried putting him in the Eco.
Ds is a little on the thin side, even though he's at 80-percentile. He just seems long and lean to me.

Hth.

Yep, this is DD, long and lean. DH is having second thoughts about a 2nd carrier, though.

IMO, he'd be fine in the Angelpack since you don't need it to be high enough to support his sleepy head or fragile neck, but what about a tall bodied mei tai for you if you can get your own carrier??? MTs wear so similarly to SSCs, just tie instead of buckle...???

We have a Kozy, which I have loved, but I'm finding I need more support on my hips. And I have really narrow shoulders and sometimes the straps slip when I'm doing a back carry. It's not comfortable for me to cross the straps in front b/c I have a large chest.
