Need help with covers

Just getting into CDING. My 9 week old DD (about 11lbs) doesn't seem to like her dipes! The problem isn't wettness - she objects as soon as I put the cover on. I think the problem is that she doesn't have the same range of motion with her legs. She's ok with her pockets because she can still bring her knees into her chest. I have yet to try a cover that allows for as much flexibility of movement. The dipes I have are kissaluvs 0, ME Sandy bamboo, and PF.

Most importantly, I want to find a cover that lets her move her legs freely, but I'd also like suggestions on what is trimmest and what would best hold a PF trifold without pins/snappy (obviously different covers!) TIA

What kinds of covers have you tried already, and what sizes?

Thirsty XS and S
Bummis SWW and Super Brite Small
Mother-Ease Rikki and Air Flow Small

Apart from the XS Thirsty, they are all plenty big enough still. I haven't tried any wool yet.

she will get used to it. just stop using sposies and she will forget in a day or so that it was ever any different!

I'd go with wool for the fitteds...Loveybums are excellent, trim, super soft (I like the crepe).

Hmmm, we never had range of motion issues w/ Thirsties or Bummis. As pp said, you may want to try wool. It could also be something that your DD just needs to get used to.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not going to just let her get used to it - and it has been a few weeks now anyway. I've played with her legs with these covers on, and they are restricting the way her leg bends. It's not just her refusing to bend her leg. I will try wool and see if that helps. The Stacinator So Simple doesn't restrict movement. It fits around the waist but is really loose (gapes) around the legs, so I'm not sure it will even work, and it definitley won't hold in a un-pinned trifold! (and it's is so long and hangs so far below the diaper, I'm not sure I could dress her properly with it on!).

I also suggest wool (or fleece). For wool I second loveybums and also Sugar Peas (very trim). Sugar Peas also makes a great fleece wrap.
My son has never been able to deal with those plasticy covers.

Wow - wool covers really get rave reviews! I guess those who have tried them love them and the rest of us are just afraid to try them!!

About the loveybums ... I can buy the jersey locally. Would that work for overnight? Or should I order the crepe or interlock? It's so hard to tell how they will feel after they are prepped! I thought of holding off on the Sugar Peas until she fits a medium, but I might just get one of each.

I've never had range of motion issues with any cover, but maybe you could a pull-on cover?

I'm about to order some pull on covers for DS- I never had a problem with dd, but ds is a chubbier baby and it does seem to bug him. Additionally, I'm in the middle of sewing a few fleece soakers. I suspect ds will be in fleece and wool shorties most of the summer.
