is looking to organize a national protest in U.S. cities on February 14, 2004. (If there was one in LA, I'd go. I just don't want to organize it.)

In response to ACOG's recent statement on ethical elective cesareans, and the recent CDC statistics on cesarean rates in the USA being at an all time high of 26.1% and the declining rate of VBAC. CAPPA is facilitating nationwide demonstrations. The purpose of these peaceful demonstrations is to unite childbirth professionals, women and concerned citizens who wish to express their disappointment with ACOG and the current rates of cesarean and VBAC. We hope to educate the public on these issues and send a message that we will support a woman's right to be fully informed of her childbearing choices, and the long-term consequences of her decisions.
