There always seems to be a period of shock whenever you get big news in the NICU. It really is a total roller coaster. My 25wkr spent 8mos in the NICU and there were very few days that I wasn't worried about what she'd be like medically farther on down the road or developmentally. You sound like you truly care about them and are doina a great job being a support.
