I hope this didn't weird you out - I have no idea why it was your husband that I picked to do the posting but I remember that he was posting something about an encyclopedia or something and I was trying to make him feel welcome and respond to him, but I didn't know how to answer .

Oy - I am sick of it too. I know I've probably done this to people in the past, but don't they realize they'd know if I had the baby?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

My good news is that I officially decided that Wednesday would be my last day of work! I'm hoping btw that and my acupuncture appoinment that night and Thursday being the full moon that I will have this baby by the end of this week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A girl can hope, right?

Oh and the Caf at work had a brownie ice cream sundae thingy and I just got it - YUM!!!! :

speaking of siblings - we were out to eat at a buffet. We were there late and dd was playing with some kids from another table (were were in an area with only 3 tables of people and we all had kids around the same age). DD was talking to the grandmother. The grandmother was asking about her baby brother that will be coming and my dd said, uh huh and he will drink milk from mommy's boobies!! Me, dh and a guy walking by for the buffet heard and we were cracking up laughing! No one else could understand what she said. I', sure there will be many more of those experiences. But at least she's getting that baby brother probably won't be drinking from a bottle.

so cute!

I haven't gotten caught up on what's been going on with everyone. I'm hoping to finish my paper today and then I'll have all the time in the world

I just thought I'd check in quickly before I get to work... We had a great weekend at the hotel and i had a beautiful warm and sunny birthday yesterday! I got satellite radio in our home for my gift from dh and my nana - BBC world service, yay!! The music is great, too, lol. Nothing to report pg-wise.

On a sad note, I'm devasted that a woman jogger was murdered on the very trails I live to run on over the weekend. It looks like it was random, too. I've been so excited to start running again Her family has already come out saying we must 'take back' the park and make it safe, which is so inspiring of them. I hope something can be done so we can enjoy it again.

On a positive note, I was so excited to see so many more babies born!!! yippee!!!

Good luck! Its such a good feeling to get this stuff out of the way. I had a big exam a few weeks ago and what a relief its over! And then a big grant application last week. Now I should have a big of respite from school stuff-- nothing big due until September (which isn't to say that I shouldn't already be working on THAT, but still...)

I'm doing a bit better this afternoon. I showered, took a long bath, played with DD for a bit, ate lunch and cleaned up the kitchen. Now off to fold and put away laundry and then nap time. I think DH and I need a date night...I'm just so depressed latly between no labor and DD's testing and the yucky weather. Thankfully the snow should be gone by Wed and back into the 50s.

And of course, I am more tired and less patient too, so I am sure some of it is my perception of his behavior.
My DD is just turning 4 and has been a totally different girl for the last 3-4 weeks. It's been so hard on all 3 of us! DH and my patience is so thin as we are having to be on our toes all day long trying to stay calm and consistant and it's wearing on us! She's hitting and yelling all the time, even our Love and logic doesn't work sometimes. I just can't believe my precious girl is acting this way. we've never had this, so I guess it was coming sometime right? I just wanted to hug and cuddle her last night but had to put her to bed screaming...somedays it just isn't fun being a parent!!!

I asked DH to DTD last night and he said he wasn't in the mood...I said "come on you have to ripen my cervix." We burst out laughing and he said there's no way that line will get me in the mood!!! He ended up giving in and enjoying it, but now we have to take a break for a while as my lady parts need a break too.

Today is theoretically my due date.

(Theoretically because the LMP date was 3/25, this is based on my guess as to when I ovulated.)

You would think I would be more motivated to clean the house, then, since I know I won't want to after baby. Plus I don't want the midwives to see it messy. I just can't seem to have any sense of urgency. I want to make curtains, too, today.

On the plus side, I've washed 2 loads of clothes and some dishes, and DS took a bath. And I'm not in my pajamas. That is an accomplishment, right?

I tell this to DH too in some way or another and sometimes he makes a joke of it "don't you want a dose of some prostaligins" (sp) except he calls it some thing else usually like progesterone

I should feel guilty but don't.I am so tired today and the kids have been watching streaming nicktoons online for like 3 hours! Rugrats, Doug, Hey Arthur. I am actually enjoying them too.Soon I'll nap for my hour and then we'll do the easy baking.

I did get some prayer/meditation beads made today. One for myself to hold/use during birth, a 13 moons for my bff as a present for being there for the birth and one for lo in colors representing his birth month. It was very calming to make all these. I think it had to do w/putting the intent and love into them.

Preparing sibs- I think the oldests (15-10) pretty much remember what to expect and whenever I try to talk to them they say ya, I know.Talking to dd7 and she's excited just to have my lap back! and thinks of this as her baby bro (not that ds4 isn't but she's the same age as dd10 was when ds4 was born and they bonded and dd is kinda ds's 2nd mom) so she's very excited to do this w/him.She still says she wishes he was a girl though!

Trying to help ds4- we got him a baby doll awhile back- to tey and teach him to be more gentle and not throw it like a ball. He's a real rough and tumble kid so we're trying to prepare him with facts like you can't wrestle w/the baby and good touch- he's never been around babies even friends'. But he's so excited to have a little brother. Also trying to talk about mom holding baby a lot and bfing and just general stuff. Also want to try and get quite time w/each weekly- daily for the youngers.

And yes I have noticed a difference in all the youngers behavior over the past few weeks/months. I try to remember a lot of that has to do with my reactions to them and the fact I have bben so short and hormonal.

Definitely! Getting the basics done these days is always an accomplishment.

My appt. is on Thursday, when I turn 41 weeks, officially. I'm hoping not to make it to that appt b/c I think they want to do a membrane strip. If I make it to thursday, I'm sure I'll be all for it, but it doesn't sound fun now. The also said something about measuring Amniotic Fluid. I don't know if they'll do that with u/s, or what.

Stay in the jammies...why not? Sometimes I just jump in the shower before I have to go pick Nathan up at 5:00 .

Yeah, the idea of stripping membranes does not sound fun to me either. Apparently they cannot do it until you are dilating though and apparently my cervix hasn't been too intersted in doing that so, we'll see!

You should stay in jammies and wait to shower - why the heck not?

I have a question for anyone that has been in labor before or for anyone that might know the answer. First off, let me start with saying although I can only wish, I do not think I'm in labor. But, I am having a lower back ache/pressure that is coming and going. I'm still trying to figure out if I have to go number two (tmi sorry). Anyway, it got me to thinking. I had a miscarriage last year and got to experience contractions, but my uterus was so small then and I just started wondering - when I am in labor will I feel contractions throughout my whole uterus or just down low near my cervix? My uterus is not hard right now and like I said I know this isn't labor, but it got me wondering.

TIA!

I think def. a sign of labor! Remember this as being my first realization that it was labor both times before.

I'm having the crampy issue right now and think it is due to constipation b/c it's only in front. I def. remember real labor ctx started as a lower back pain.. once I figured out it was coming and going regularly, I knew those were it. GL!

wobblykate - I have to admit that I was surprised not to see a birth announcement from you when I logged on this morning. I was sure you were going to have her this weekend. I remember when I was pg with ds1 and it was a week after my due date when someone asked me,"when are you due?" I remember so vividly the feeling that accompanied my response, "last week." It's so frustrating going past your due date. At least with ds2 and this one I know I tend to go late. but first time around you have nothing to go by and it could happen any second.... or not.

Pyjamas all day sounds like a pretty decent comprimise, though.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!! I'm listening to a wonderful classical music station on my new sattelite radio as I work on my paper and it's wonderful
