Considering move PA to NM, confused about NM laws.

We're considering a move from PA to New Mexico, and I'm confused reading the NM vaccination laws on the NVIC site. NM is listed as having medical, religious and philosophical exemptions, but reading the law, it doesn't sound like a philosophical exemption at all, just religious. Can anyone chime in or direct me to other info for NM? TIA.

I see why you are confused but here's the deal. If you file a religious exemption you have to get a member of the clergy to written statement or affidavit that "that such child's parents or guardians are bona fide members of a denomination whose religious teaching requires reliance upon prayer or spiritual means alone for healing"

For the philisophical you don't, the parents just needs to write a written statement that vaccinating conflicts with their religious beliefs. Much easier to go with this one if you can!
