I have a 2 yo and a 4 yo and a FT job and a house and husband, and yes, now I insist on also making time for me to paint again. Yes, I am spread to thin, and I am tired, but if I do not make the time to paint, that time is never going to "just appear", kwim?
So since January I have been making time, at night when the kids are sleeping, and a few hours on the weekend when DH can take the kids. Not much of the time is actual painting. I'd say 75% or more of the time goes to marketing: making my CV, artists statement, trying to meet other artists, researching galleries, exhibits, fairs, putting paintings up in office spaces.... Once a lot of this is done, I would love to have 75% of my time for actual painting, as opposed to the other way around. Can't show you any of the rest on line, but I can show you my website, which I have just redone. Comments, positive and negative, welcome.
