Here is a rare ( & recent!!) good article. Its not perfect, but it makes a lot of good points & never does it get into the fear mongering of the STD & HIV studies. Religion is mentioned, so lets act like we don't notice that part,
My intactivist brother sent it to me and he lives there & was pretty happy about its overall tone.

I hope you'll encourage him to write a letter of praise to the editor that published it, highlighting some key points, so the issue can get double exposure.

Letter writing is really important to balance out the negative that's out there and accentuate the positive.

Although the points made were good, I wish they would have highlighted someone who decided against the circ even given their "spiritual" feelings on the issue. I think that would have made a much stronger point to show some one who has put the long standing tradition of circ aside for the betterment of their son's penis. Maybe next time. . .

I totally agree, but... I like the fact that she admits it really is a sacrifice, it may get people thinking.

The Jewish mother written about in this article actually posted this same link on here a week or so ago. She got a lot of negative comments in response and the whole post was taken down. (mostly due to "religious discussion") I have to say I did not like the article that much since the story was set up in a way that it followed one mother and in the end she circumcised. Which to me sent the message that she made the "right choice".
