Haven't you had that baby yet?
Let's think of some snappy comebacks for that.

1. Obviously not.
2. Baby? What baby?
3. *sigh* No.
4. What can I say? He/she likes it in there...
5. I've still got a bit left to go.
6. Actually, I have had the baby. I just like wearing one of those fake bellies and waddling around in maternity clothes.

1. I find the current state I'm in to be VERY comfortable and I am just squeezing my legs together so that the baby doesn't come out .

2. Yeah actually, I did, and I forgot to tell ANYONE the news!!

3. I've made too good of a home for him in there .

I'm not overdue by any means but both DD's came at 38 weeks, and I'm 38 weeks. My mom keeps calling first thing every morning asking how I'm feeling. I'm tempted not to answer today.....

I'm 38 weeks with twins. People act as if that is some sort of miracle. "But aren't twins supposed to come early?" "Are you going to demand to be induced?"

Needless to say, I don't answer my phone anymore...

I think she's decided it's too hectic out here and she wants to stay in for a while...

She's a smart girl...She'll come when she's ready and not a moment too soon!

"Yeah, we had the baby, but we decided to leave it home with the cat. I just put a pillow under my shirt so it would fit."

My favorite...
*look with surprise towards belly*
"Oh, I hadn't noticed! I guess not..."

OMG!!! THE BABY!!! Oooh... I totally forgot about it. I hope we didn't throw it out with the bulk trash yesterday! I gotta so... need to look for it.

crazy people...cook them good and they will be healthy.

I seriously contemplated taping a sign to poor dh today when he went into work...I have the belly (not that people don't still ask), but he has no built-in defenses.

My wife has not given birth.
She is fine.
Yes, we are sick of waiting and you're not making it easier.
She's only 6 days overdue.
We are not inducing anytime soon.
If this doesn't answer all your questions, F-OFF.

my sister called the other day and said, "are you in labor?"

I said as in right now while we are talking on the phone?! Uhm yea, can't you tell

: For when I'm in this boat in a few weeks!

Thanks for the laugh; sometimes its hard to see the humor in these things (especially when I'm in uber-beyatch mode). I'm tired of people asking me what the doctor said as though I'm going to have my vagina open to the public just for their edification. Oh hello, have you met my cervix because I'd love to discuss the intimate details of my anatomy with you?

No change here. Actually, lets discuss the intimate details of YOUR body instead. How's your a-hole doing today? Have you taken a good dump lately? Any gas I should know about? Well be sure and call me when you have any updates...

Yeah, Kate, I know what you mean. DH has been really great about being sympathetic for me in what people say, etc, but he said yesterday that it is getting to the point where it is impossible for *him* to go places without people saying things! (Mostly, things like, "So, you're at work, I guess no baby yet?")

Right, that's exactly it...and they KNOW he won't be at work for a month once the baby comes! Add to that the fact that my dh works with 20 women and they all want to know all the details about my innards (which I don't have b/c the practice I go to is very hands-off).
