I'm being frugal again...

YAY me!

Haha, I just wanted to say I feel like a total dork, because I decided I was going to buy some shampoo, conditioner, and shaving cream from the dollar tree the other day - and I'm loving it. I'm super excited it is working good for my hair (and legs - the shaving cream part).

Who needs expensive shampoo and conditioner? Especially in this economy!
I get happy just thinking about taking a shower for less, lol:

Oh, and another thing. After the umpteenth time finding multiple cups flipped up and filled with water in my dish washer, i decided to start handwashing yesterday. It wasn't so bad! (We don't pay for water, btw).

I'm on a roll...

I <3 being frugal

hahaha...don't feel bad!
For me though, i never really found an all-natural brand i liked. Weird. I suppose i could be even cheaper and go the baking soda/vinegar hair washing route...been there, done that, no thanks!

While you're in the shower, be sure to get a super-low-flow shower head!

hahaha...actually, we rent and water is included. Soooo...i don't plan on upgrading my apartment, but i'll keep that in mind for when we eventually (yeaaaaars from now) buy our own house

Oh well that's cool. When we rented our apartment we had to pay utilities, so we did use a low flow showerhead there and just took it out with us when we moved.

I actually saw in the store the other day a type of bungee cord/netting thing that goes over the items in the top rack of the dishwasher so they don't turn over and get filled with water.

That's odd. Around here renters just have to pay for electric, phone, net, etc.

Water/sewer/garbage is typically included for apartments (thankfully!)...houses/duplex's are another story. That's why we decided on an apartment

Hey I just saw this thread the other day and so yesterday it inspired me to also look at the dollar store. I got new shampoo, conditioner, blush and mousse. They all worked great. I also bought some new deodorant and hairspray(at a different store) with a coupon, so all my beauty supplies cost under 10 bucks-not too shabby. I look great for hardly anything.

I also bought DD some new watermelon shampoo, but she proceeded to dump the whole bottle in the tub.
