i did a forum search and didn't see anything on this yet so i figured i would pass it along! Coalition Against Mandatory Vaccination in response to the new group founded by the CDC called People for Immunization.

I think that's excellent. Although I don't vaccinate, I don't have issues with anyone who does. It's a personal *choice*, key word there being *choice*. No medical procedure should be mandatory. IMO, there is far too little accurate, reliable, and dependable data concerning the safety and efficacy for anyone to make a quick but informed decision.

That is scary...that last line

I'm all joined up!

the thought is making me nauseous... time for me to sign off and go vomit
i will be leaving the country if something like that happens... being an american citizen is beginning to feel like being an INMATE with no rights or privileges .... pediatricians and vaccine profiteers are the most unethical and vile bunch... i am in a state of shock... i thought about the possibility of it all but actually seeing this is just nauseating...

Why isn't this People For Immunization committee on the CDC website if it is a CDC committee?

I signed up, but I'm questioning the reality of the People for Immunization. I couldn't find any information confirming it's existence and the wording on that site sounded a little fishy to me. "watch out for attempts to eliminate all forms of exemptions" and "mandatory adult vaccines" sounds a little like bate to me.

Hmm, Dr. Tenpenny is pretty well-respected as far as I know. I did find reference to People For Immunization here:

Diane Peterson, Immunization Action Coalition
Diane's presentation will address new partnerships in which conference participants can become involved to promote increased funding for immunization. These partnerships include the "317 Coalition" and "People for Immunization."

The name of the group was changed from “People for Immunization” to “Voices for Vaccines”

There is no date on the Dr. Tenpenny page, so perhaps it could just be 'old news' from last year and since then the name of the group has changed.

here is info on possible connections, if what this site says is correct:

The Task Force for Child Survival and Development is sponsoring Voices for Vaccines, which has a Steering Committee composed of individuals employed by an affiliate of the Carter Center or Every Child by Two and non-profit organizations, many of whom receive funding from vaccine manufacturers such as the American Academy of Family Physicians and Immunization Action Coalition and P-Kids and Families Fighting Flu.
Well, here's the Last Straw! Dig deep enough you sure find some interestin' stuff.

I just read the first bit of the page referenced. In the second paragraph the page says immunization of children has been successful in preventing disease. It also says vaccines are safe. Is this page a bit from the people for immunization or the mandatory coalition?

Thanks for that reassurance. I know that Tenpenny is a reputable dr and speaker, but not finding that info was confusing. I did find the Voices for vaccines website. It's scary how many times they use the word "mandatory"

And where does it say that Voices for Vaccines advocates mandatory vaccines?

And where does it say that they are an CDC committee?

And why is Dr. Tenpenny spreading this misinformation about this group?

This presentation seeks to enlighten participants about several national level initiatives aimed at improving vaccine delivery systems, alleviating physicians' barriers to immunization, enhancing the public's trust in vaccines and developing state and national policies aimed at improving vaccination rates among all populations. Presenters will provide an overview of the goals, objectives and current status of the National Immunization Congress, the 317 Coalition, the National Viral Hepatitis Roundtable, People for Immunization, the National Influenza Vaccine Summit, and both the Adult and Childhood Vaccine Policy Groups.

I see mention of it in 2007 as well.
