Beware of RSV... our story

So, its been awhile since I have been on. Currently we are in the local Children's hospital.... again. Jacob got sick last Weds. with a running nose, took him to the ped. on Friday and was told it was a head cold and to just suction him out, and that I was being paranoid, come Sunday he could barely breath and you could see his skin pulling into his ribs with each breath. we took him to a branch of the children's hosptial where we found out that he had RSV. We were transfered by mobile ICU to the big campus of the hosptial in another town. So, we were in a regular room for a few days, got transfered to the PICU when he couldn't breath at all even with the oxygen on Monday night. We just got moved out of the PICU and back to the regular floor today! So, he is still sick, still on oxygen, and still crappy feeling. He wasn;t allowed to nurse for three days, so we are just starting that back up again today! What a pain... anyways, keep an eye on those babies

We went through that with ds2. It is terrifying! Thinking about your little guy and sending him get well fast wishes!

Maggie had that in February and had to be intubated, BUT she was 3 months premature so she didn't have the mature lungs that your sweet bundle does. Please take care of him and yourself, it is a VERY scary illness! Best wishes!
