Making the Switch

I am the mother to a 24 month old and an 8 month old. I clothed diapered my daughter (the 24 month old) for about the first year of her life. When I became pregnant with my second child I got lazy and switched to disposables. Now I am looking to make the transition back to cloth. With my daughter I used the prefolds, but I am now interested in the AIOs. I'm looking for the best quality at the most reasonably price. Any suggestions?

I just wrote a huge blog post on this- but I like fuzzi bunz and bum genius... that's what I'm using right now.

I am all the way out in Farmville, VA. So most of my nat. living shopping is done on-line. Can you recommend a web site?

If you are looking for pockets, my fave for durability and fit is TinyTush Elite. A true aio I like is by Thristies - you can use as is or add additional inserts into their pocket for times when you need more absorption...

I personally like fuzzi bunz pocket diapers. They're not true AIOs, but they're still very user-friendly. The plus of pockets is that they clean easier/dry faster and they are easily adjusted for absorption.

I've also heard great things about the one size organic bum genius AIOs.

My favorite store to shop from is consistently Kelly's Closet. If you sign up for her newsletter, you'll frequently get free S&H and $5 off your order coupons. I find that the free S&H often makes a good bit of difference.

Has anyone tried wool diaper covers what are the pros/cons of those verses the others?

I suggest using a aio that is a one size so they both can wear the same diapers. It is more economical. I like Mommy's Touch aio's They dry quickly and will fit both babies.
