cows milk

I was just wondering if anyone can tell me about food sensitivities in infants.
Since shortly after birth my daugher has been congested. We thought maybe she was alergic to our comforter or had a cold but I was told that it's very rare for a breast fed infant to get sick and she remains stuffed up sleeping in our bed or not.
Then someone told me that she probably had a food sensitivity and suggested that I give up cows milk products.
I have been doing this, though not for very long and I just wondering if there was any information on this out there.
Thanks!

Your daughter could well be reacting to cows milk in your diet. Give it a couple of weeks, and see how she goes. Babies aren't allergic to their mom's breast milk, but they can definitely be sensitive to something mom is eating!

This happened to me when I was a baby - I was allergic to the cow's milk my mom was drinking. Her doctor told her to stop breastfeeding me, and start giving me rice cereal and soy formula! So she did, and I cleared up....shame she didn't realize all she had to do was stop drinking milk (which she didnt' like anyway).

Hope this helps.

....and if cutting out the milk doesn't do it for you, the next 2 to try are soy and wheat.....
